Interfaith Racial Justice Vigil
September 30, 2020 @ 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Churches and synagogues throughout Lower Merion are currently displaying Black Lives Matter banners, and our wider interfaith community is gathering weekly to support these congregations and to raise our voices as advocates for racial justice.
Please bring handheld signs with peaceful messages advocating for racial justice. Vigils begin and end with prayer. In between, we stand for about 30 minutes along a busy street, holding our signs, bearing public witnesses to our desire for racial justice. Please feel welcome to bring a chair if you need one. Masks must be worn and friendly social distancing must be maintained during the entirety of each vigil.
Gather at:
1025 Youngs Ford Road, Gladwyne
(This address is for the parking lot of the former Acme, where we have been permitted to park. After a gathering prayer in the parking lot, we will hold our vigil at the intersection of Youngs Ford Road and Conshohocken State Road.)
