Lenten Study | The Way of the Cross

Since the Middle Ages this devotion has been used to pray and contemplate the last moments of Jesus before the Resurrection. Using the seven last sayings of Christ on the Cross as a guide, we’ll explore the spirituality of the Cross- including themes of repentance, mercy, and reconciliation. We’ll have a Holy Week Devotional to encourage and guide personal and communal prayer and reflection. Our exploration will end with a Tenebrae service- a candlelit, meditative service that uses psalms, prayers, and Gospel readings to reflect on those last hours of Jesus’ life. We’ll combine history, spirituality, and prayer and we hope you’ll join us.
