Discipleship Education

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

– Matthew 28.19-20

Our mission is to live into the great commission by going and making disciples in Christ’s name. We hope to do that by inviting community members to come together in ways that foster growth to both their social and spiritual needs as followers of God.

As we continue to seek new ways to grow in our relationship with God and others, our programs and offerings continue to evolve as well. Currently we offer:

Discipleship Education

9:10 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Every Sunday morning
Discipleship is comprised of programs directed toward the relationship of Christianity, life and issues of the day. Such programs consist of lectures, discussions and social interaction.

Advent Unbound Devotional

ECF Vital Practices

As an additional resource, we invite parishioners to explore the thought provoking articles offered through Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) Vital Practices at http://www.ecfvp.org/

Confirmation

Weekly instruction for youth of confirmation age, culminating in a class-wide service project and confirmation during the Bishop’s annual visit.

Bible Study

Offered weekly on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. at Waverly Heights led by The Rev. Dr. Hillary D. Raining. We welcome interested members to the existing groups or we can help others start their own by furnishing a “template” on how to get started. In addition, there are occasional special programs that bring in speakers who are authorities in different areas of concern and interest. Please contact our Rector Hillary Raining with any thoughts or ideas concerning the Church’s Adult Education.

Lenten Classes and Evening Classes

Occasional offerings that happen seasonally. Watch the calendar for these great opportunities.
